The Walter White is essentially a bite-sized variation of the traditional Carnival Candy, designed to work magic on waters where the giant original might spook fish. It keeps the deadly articulated action but changes the recipe for better durability and a unique profile. Instead of the traditional Estaz head, The Walter White uses a dense Ice Dub head, and wraps the hackle all the way through the body rather than just behind the eye.
Why we love it:
The Size: It offers a smaller, less intimidating profile than a full-sized Carnival Candy, making it perfect for smaller rivers or pressured fish that have seen everything.
The Construction: The Ice Dub head sheds water better than chenille, making it easier to cast all day, while the fully wrapped hackle pushes a ton of water.
The Color: This "Root Beer" variation is an exceptional crayfish or sculpin imitation that works in both clear and stained water.

Guide Tip: Because this is smaller than your standard "meat" flies, don't be afraid to fish it on a floating line near the banks. It lands softer than the big stuff. Use a chaotic "jerk-jerk-pause" retrieve to make those rubber legs kick.
