The Tung Stud is designed to solve the biggest problem in nymph fishing: getting deep without sacrificing movement. Most heavy flies are stiff and lifeless, but this pattern changes the game. It combines a heavy, faceted tungsten bead to punch through the current with a soft, mobile ostrich herl tail that comes alive in the water. It’s a hybrid pattern that fishes like an anchor but looks like a living, swimming mayfly or caddis larva.

The "Disco" Bead: The faceted copper tungsten bead reflects light in multiple directions while dragging the fly down to the feeding zone instantly.

Guide Tip: This is an exceptional "Point Fly" for European Nymphing or a heavy anchor for a dry-dropper rig. Because the tail is so mobile, try fishing it on the "swing" at the end of your drift, the lifting motion combined with the fluttering tail often triggers aggressive strikes.
