The TR Caddis is built for one purpose: to get into the strike zone instantly. Tied on a jig hook with a heavy tungsten bead and a body made entirely of wire, this fly cuts through the water column faster than almost any other pattern. It imitates a cased caddis larva or a free-living caddis getting blown off the bottom, but with a durability that makes it nearly indestructible.
Why we love it:
The Weight: The combination of a tungsten bead and a dual-wire body creates a "depth charge" effect, perfect for getting deep in fast pockets.
The Segmentation: The contrasting wire ribbing creates a distinct segmented look that mimics the natural ridges of a caddis larva's body.
The Hot Spot: A bright green dubbing collar behind the bead mimics the brighter head/gills of the natural insect and acts as a trigger in deep, dark water.

Guide Tip: This is an essential "Anchor Fly" for Euro Nymphing. Because it is slim and heavy, put this on the point (the bottom) of your leader to drag your lighter flies down. It is also bulletproof, so don't be afraid to bounce it off the rocks.
