Widely known in the fly fishing world as "The City Worker" due to its high-visibility orange and yellow indicators on the foam body, we call this pattern "The Troy's Fly." Just like a city worker in a safety vest, this fly is impossible to miss—even in the fastest, roughest water. It is a workhorse attractor that mimics large stoneflies, hoppers, or just a massive chunk of protein that trout can't resist.
Why we love it:
The Visibility: The bright "safety orange" and yellow foam back acts like a beacon. If you have trouble seeing your fly in low light or glare, this is the solution.
The Buoyancy: Built with layers of closed-cell foam, this fly is unsinkable. It rides high and can support the heaviest tungsten droppers without swamping.
The Durability: It’s built to take a beating. You can slap it onto the water, drag it through riffles, and catch fish after fish without it losing its shape or ability to float.

Guide Tip: This is arguably the best "Indicator Fly" in the box. Because it is so visible and buoyant, treat it like a bobber. Hang a heavy nymph 3 feet below it. The fish will often come up to inspect the bright colors of the dry fly, and if they refuse that, they'll eat the nymph hanging underneath.
