If the original Rainbow Warrior is a disco ball, the Rainbow Assassin is a calculated strike. By taking the proven, highly attractive pearl/rainbow body and veiling it behind a soft CDC collar, this pattern tones down the blinding shimmer just enough to fool highly pressured fish. Add in the striking red thread hot spots at both the tail and behind the bead, and you have a fly that grabs attention without crossing the line into looking unnatural.
