This is the ultimate multi-purpose dry fly. While it is technically a stonefly imitation, it is most famous for being the best "indicator fly" on the planet. The high-density foam body renders it nearly unsinkable, allowing it to hold up even heavy tungsten nymphs in fast water. If you love fishing "Dry-Dropper" rigs, this is the engine that drives them.

Guide Tip: This is your "Hopper" pattern, your "Stonefly" pattern, and your "Bobber." lather it in floatant, tie a heavy nymph 2 feet off the hook bend, and pound the banks. Big trout will often come up to inspect the splashing noise and smash this fly out of pure aggression.
