The Sulphur Comparadun is a must-have dry fly for matching sulphur mayfly hatches. Its slim body, upright deer-hair wing, and no-hackle design create a perfect low-riding silhouette that imitates a mayfly dun trapped in the surface film. Trout key in on this stage because it’s vulnerable, and this pattern nails the profile.
The Comparadun floats well in slower seams, slicks, and soft edges where sulphurs emerge. It’s perfect for picky fish during heavy hatches when traditional hackled dries sit too high. Present it with a long leader and gentle drift, and expect confident eats.
