When trout are sipping emergers just inches below the surface, a heavy bead head often sinks too fast and spooks them. The unweighted Split Case PMD is designed to hover right in the strike zone. It features the same high-contrast "split case" trigger on the back but lands softly and drifts naturally in the upper water column.

Guide Tip: Apply a little floatant to your leader, but leave the fly un-greased. This allows the fly to hang just below the surface film (the "film") while your leader stays floating, giving you perfect depth control without a strike indicator.
