The perfect combination of a bloodworm and an egg pattern (or is it? ).
Sometimes you need to feed them "Junk Food." This variation of the classic San Juan Worm takes the proven wine color (which perfectly mimics natural aquatic worms) and adds a hot orange bead in the center. This creates a specific "Hot Spot" that grabs a trout's attention from further away, especially in stained or high water.
Why we love it:
The Contrast: The deep wine chenille against the bright orange bead creates a visual trigger that works when plain red worms get ignored.
The Visibility: That bead acts as a beacon in off-color water, making it the perfect pattern for runoff or post-rain fishing.
The Double Threat: It looks like a worm, but the bead gives it the "yolk" appearance of an egg, triggering two different feeding instincts.
Quantity: Sold in packs of 12.
Guide Tip: This is a killer pattern for "Tailwater" fisheries or immediately after a rainstorm. When the water turns a little milky or green, this should be your lead fly. Fish it deep under an indicator and let it bounce along the bottom.
