The "Swiss Army Knife" of attractors.
The Rainbow Warrior is proof that flies don't have to look natural to catch fish. Designed by Lance Egan to work in the high-pressure waters of the Provo River, this fly combines the best triggers in the business: pearl flash, red thread, and rainbow dubbing. It mimics everything and nothing, looking like a midge pupa, a small mayfly, or just a shiny piece of candy that a trout can't resist eating.
Why we love it:
The Shine: The pearl tinsel body reflects available light in the water column, making it highly visible even in deep or slightly stained water.
The Blood Trigger: The red thread underbody and reinforcement suggest a bloodworm or injured insect, triggering a primal feeding response.
The "Rainbow" Dubbing: The thorax is made of a synthetic prism blend that scatters light and adds a buggy texture to the sleek body.
Quantity: Sold in packs of 12.
Guide Tip: This is a perfect "dropper" fly behind a larger dry fly or heavy nymph. Because it is flashy but small, it works exceptionally well as a midge larva imitation in the winter or as a general attractor during the summer doldrums.
