Designed by competitive angling legend Devin Olsen, the Blow Torch is a staple in the world of Euro Nymphing. It is built for one purpose: to get deep fast and trigger strikes in the dark. The combination of a heavy tungsten bead and a slim, low-resistance body allows it to slice through the water column, while the vibrant fluorescent tag acts like a beacon in deep, off-color pools.
Why we love it:
The Hot Spot: The signature fluorescent tag (the "torch") creates a high-contrast trigger that fish can see from a distance, even in low-light conditions.
The Depth: Tied on a jig hook with a heavy tungsten bead, this fly rides hook-point up to minimize snags while bouncing along the riverbed where the biggest fish live.
The Movement: The soft hackle collar provides just enough life to suggest movement without slowing the fly's descent rate.

Guide Tip: This is your "Point Fly." Use it at the bottom of your rig to anchor your drift. It works exceptionally well in pocket water or deep runs where you need to get down to the fish immediately.
