The ultimate "match the hatch" for spawning season.
Tungsten Bead
When trout and salmon are spawning, eggs become the primary food source for every fish in the river. The Double Bubble Egg is designed to mimic a fertilized egg drifting in the current. The bright orange bead represents the "yolk" or embryo, while the pale yellow body mimics the translucent membrane of a natural egg. It creates a "bullseye" effect that fish key in on, distinguishing it from generic, solid-colored yarn balls.
Why we love it:
The "Yolk" Trigger: The distinct orange bead head creates a contrast point that looks exactly like the embryo inside a real salmon egg.
The Halo: The pale yellow/cheese body is veiled with subtle flash, creating a translucent "slime" look that mimics a fresh egg in the water.
Hooking Power: Built on a strong, curved scud hook, it holds onto big fish that are gorging on eggs in heavy current.
Quantity: Sold in packs of 12.
Guide Tip: Use this in a "Tandem Rig." Put a heavy tungsten nymph on top to get deep, and trail this egg 12-18 inches behind it. Fish gorge on eggs during the spawn, but they often sit lazily behind the spawning redds (nests). Dead drift this right through those zones.
